Procurement Assistant

Location - Hybrid, happy to travel

Salary - up to 27k

Hours - Full or Part Time available

We are seeking an enthusiastic Procurement Assistant to support our purchasing and supply chain activities. This entry level role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in procurement and gain hands on experience in supplier management, ordering processes, sustainable solutions and administrative support.

You will work closely with the Procurement Manager to strengthen our supplier relationships, improving operational efficiency and supporting our commitment to strong environmental, social, and governance principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update procurement records, supplier databases, pricing information and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all data
  • Monitor the CapEx order status from request to fulfilment
  • Support supplier communication, including order placement, delivery tracking and resolving queries or discrepancies
  • Maintain procurement compliance documentation and support ESG tracking, ensuring data is accurate, up to date and audit ready
  • Support the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of financial and procurement data to identify inconsistencies and variances within the Profit & Loss (P&L) reporting
  • Finding the best value products on the market to meet the operational requirements
  • Supporting project management activities to ensure smooth delivery and coordination of tasks across projects
  • Supporting end-to-end KPI management, including monitoring, tracking, and reporting performance against key targets to ensure objectives are met

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • GCE English: Grade 3 (D) or above
  • GCSE Maths: Grade 3 (D) or above
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Basic computer skills or willing to learn (Microsoft Excel & Outlook)
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to learn and develop within procurement
