PLEASE NOTE - WE ARE SEEKING CANDIDATES FOR THIS POSITON THAT LIVE IN THE CHELMSFORD,HARLOW AREAS

As a Painter and Decorator, you’ll help keep our homes safe, comfortable, and well maintained for residents, visitors, and colleagues. Reporting to the Home Manager and Group Maintenance Manager, you’ll carry out day-to-day hard landscaping tasks, ensure compliance standards are met and take part in an on call rota to respond to emergencies.  This role forms part of our Property/Maintenance Project Team and will work across our portfolio of homes.

• Practical and hands-on approach to Painting and Decorating tasks to include preparation, painting, decorating, making good of vacant bedrooms and communal areas.
• Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation
• Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic
• Take pride in delivering high-quality work
• A cost-conscious approach to purchasing and sourcing materials
• Maintain safe and compliant environments
• Keep facilities well-presented and well-maintained

What you'll bring

• Experience in Painting and Decorating (additional trade skills are a plus)
• Willingness to complete training and support fire safety requirements
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers
• Excellent reliability, attendance, and a proactive mindset
• A commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for residents and colleagues alike
• Reliable with a strong focus on health, safety, and standards
